CLIENT: BRADFORD 2025
PROJECT: PRODUCTION, TECHNICAL, OPERATIONS AND EVENT MANAGEMENT
FOR RISE, BRADFORD CITY OF CULTURE’S OPENING EVENT
RISE was a large scale spectacular performance in Bradford’s City Park. It featured 100s of community performers, aerial artists and Bradford’s very own magician Stephen Frayne (formerly known as Dynamo).
Jacob Gough as Production Manager was involved from the early stages of development, bringing years of experience in large scale outdoor work to help create a vision that was ambitious but achievable. Bringing in Tom Reilly to ensure the smooth integration of all technical elements and Bethan Davies to oversee the event infrastructure and operations, embedding ourselves with the Bradford 2025 team to ensure seamless delivery across multiple areas from access to ticketing.
Despite heavy snowfall and temperatures reaching -10°C our extensive planning and ability to react to situations calmly and efficiently meant we were still able to pull off this incredible show for over 20,000 people across 2 nights safely and with extremely positive feedback from authorities and other stakeholders.
